About Me

My first dog was a collie who took me on a very steep learning curve. I’d envisioned a sociable dog who I could hang out with in city parks outside of my full time office job. Long story short, it didn’t work out like that and I ended up with a dog who had to be muzzled in public and who I couldn’t let off lead. I made it my mission to give him the best life possible despite his limitations, giving up my career in finance to spend more time with him.

I dedicated hours to taking courses, reading books, working with trainers and behaviourists and try out different activities.

Now I want to be the dog walker I wish I had then. Trustworthy, knowledgable and empathetic.

I have experience of walking dogs who react out of both fear and frustration as well as experience of herding breeds who struggle with sensitivity to movement in urban environments.

I am always looking to further my knowledge of positive reinforcement based training.

I am currently owned by an australian shepherd who is somewhat of a handful but ensures there is never a dull day.
